Function: Placemats are used in the house for hot plates or hot dishes especially served on a dinner table It brings out the beauty of a table and protects the owner from any hot dishes.

Technique: The technique is called the potato print so what we do is we peel the potato and make a design on the potato using different shades of paint and then we stamp on the cloth. After that, we bake them in the oven for 8 hrs so the paint sticks to the fabric. Afterwards, we wash and remove excess paint and we dry again outside in the hot sun.

Materials: Potato print over 100% cotton cloth.

Working time: 5 days
